Lisa attended California State University in Fullerton where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She then completed her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Hope international University, graduating with high honors.
Lisa completed her internship with the Upland School District in 2001 where she counseled children, adolescents and their parents. In January 2001, Lisa joined Alta Loma Psychological Associates where she conducts Anger Management groups for men as well counseling individuals and couples in marital therapy. Additionally Lisa taught Psychology and Marriage and the Family for Everest College from 2002 to 2003. Subsequently, Lisa worked with the Drug Court program in Rancho Cucamonga counseling with individuals for alcohol and drug addictions. Given her experience, training and background Lisa specializes in helping others with issues such as low self-esteem, anger management, conflict resolution, negotiation and compromise and healthy communication skills.
Lisa loves people and the opportunity to help others attain healthy lives and fulfilling relationships. She enjoys her career as a Marriage, Family Therapist in meeting and working with a variety of people and assisting them in resolving and dealing with life issues.
Lisa feels that all people are born with an authentic self, desiring love and validation. As life ensues, self love or lack thereof is determined, enabling or disabling the individual towards an emotionally healthy, happy life. In the process of therapy one can discover their highest value for a fulfilling, productive life.
